GREEN PLANTATION WORK IN GARKHAN:-


National Tree Planting Day is on July 22. It was conducted by Local folks of this village for the betterment of the environment.  About 400 plants were planted .  About 25 people participated in this event .  I also was the part of this event it was one of the best experience i had in my life.

GARKAHAN Village MAJHIWAD Panchayat BASANTPUR is situated in Shimla District. People of this village are living in very peaceful manner. This village having very proud history. Garkahan is a village positioned in Basantpur Block of Shimla district in Himachal Pradesh. Located in rural area of Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh, it is one of the 320 villages of Basantpur Block of Shimla district. According to the government records, the village code of Garkahan is 8824211. The village has 55 houses.

According to Census 2011, Garkahan 's population is 253. Out of this, 126 are males whereas the females count 127 here. This village has 17 children in the age bracket of 0-6 years. Out of this 5 are boys and 12 are girls.

Average Sex Ratio of Garkahan village is 1008 which is higher than Himachal Pradesh state average of 972.
